Pets of the Week
Adoptable pets looking for a fresh start
Here are our Pets of the Week, a small spotlight on animals who are still waiting for the families they deserve. Each of these pets is currently available for adoption through the Franklin County Humane Society, and each one has a story, a personality, and so much love left to give. Some have been waiting longer than others, but all are ready for a fresh start. If one of these faces speaks to you, you can learn more about the adoption process and how to apply on our adoption page.
Breeze
Breeze is a 1 yr old Lab/Shepherd mix and he’s such a good boy. He is friendly, does well with other dogs and children. He met our office kitty without incident. He does need work on a leash and to learn basic commands but our volunteers are good trainers and he’s smart, so that shouldn’t take long.
Arnold
Arnold is a one year old dachshund mix. He has flashy black and tan fur and is small enough to carry around. Arnold doesn’t have a lot of life skills, but he’s coming along quickly. He needs a patient owner who can teach him to walk on a leash. He’ll be a great and loyal family pet.
Kabul
Kabul is 2 years old and his long legs, slim build, and narrow muzzle suggest he might have greyhound or even Afghan hound in him. Kabul is an elegant beauty with a glossy black coat and tan and white highlights. He’s a sweet boy who looks like he’d make a great jogging or running partner.
Shelby
Shelby is a one year old Lab mix and is full of life! This beauty loves her walks and the people who walk her. Shelby would do best in a home with active people and an opportunity to run and play. She is a climber so a securely fenced yard is a must.
Buster
Buster is a two year old, 45 pound beagle mix and he is obviously very handsome! Buster was a little shy when he first arrived, but he quickly turned into a social butterfly and a staff favorite. In fact, if you’ve seen Buster at our adoption events, you’ll know how chill this amazing guy can be. So, if you’re looking for an easy-care, happy companion, Buster fits the bill perfectly.
